Alex Otterlei is a Belgian composer who specialises in music for computer games. His scores testify of a strongly driven epical desire, imagination and musical strength. In a conventional language his music charms the listener by its remarkable melodic quality, impressive sound construction and a perfect sense of timing.
He was mentored by prominent composers such as Luc van Hove and Hans Lamal. In the nineties Otterlei pioneered the art of writing soundtracks for roleplaying games, resulting in popular rpg-soundtracks such as Battlethemes, Arthur and Where Evil Lurks. His Cthulhu-inspired orchestral soundtrack Horror on the Orient Express achieved worldwide acclaim."
