I have always loved games, playing them and even designing some to play with friends as a teenager back when very few games came out each year. I spent 32 years of my professional career with AT&T in the Advertising & Publishing line of business, but in the evenings managed to design a few published games (Arkham Horror, Elder Sign and Defenders of the Realm to name a few). I was also fortunate enough to design the uniform the Chicago White Sox wore from 1982 - 1986 and still wear today as a special Sunday home game uniform.
Over the years I have designed games for a number of companies as an independent designer with a focus on thematic cooperative games. My motto of game design is that playing the game should be thematic and fun. All of you will be the ultimate judges of whether I succeeded, but for me success is evident when I see players enjoying one of my designs, and even greater when I get to play a game with fans at a convention.
