Description Edit | History

Mark was born several decades ago and has been traveling through time, albeit in a linear sequence, ever since. From his early days in which he was a tiny human to the present era where his current form exists as a somewhat less-tiny, but still not what you would call large, human he has longed for the world to be weirder than it likely is and more logical than it often appears to be.

A fan of antiquated things like pulp horror, obtuse vernacular and polite discourse, he finds little issue with the return of the Great Old Ones save the facts that he’s not a strong swimmer and doesn’t eat meat, so an all-fish diet is right out. Living his life guided by the mantra W.W.D.D., Mark sought to follow in the wheel-treads of Davros and thus obtained a few degrees and eventual employment as a biochemical researcher. Later, he migrated to Computer Network Security but just missed a free trip to Telos as he had stepped out for Indian food mere minutes before the Cyber-Conversions began.

Strangely, in both cases, he found that people were willing to pay him well for following his nefarious dreams. Still, all things end (unless Time-Scooped into a chrono-loop) and currently he’s decided to teach science to teenagers; an activity for which they barely pay him at all.

Mark has also found some small success in the gaming industry having seen his work published by FASA Games, Myrmidon Press and some other smaller publishers. BoardGameGeek is fairly littered with his modifications and additions to existing analog games but the vast majority of his original designs remain in his basement laboratory. There they enjoy the singular honor of being the most impressive, clever, and intriguing games that were ever designed, in that exact geographic location, over the past two decades, by a guy named Mark Harkins. He is very handsome and loved by many.
