Michael Taylor was born and raised in Maryland, but is now retired and lives in the UK. He started playing wargames in the mid-'70s with Avalon Hill's Gettysburg. Served in the US Army in the Armor and Military Intelligence fields. Graduated from the Defense Language Institute in the Russian language. After leaving active duty he served for 18 years at the Ft Hood (Texas) Battle Simulation Center as a computer simulations instructor, training soldiers in the use of various combat computer simulations such as Simnet, Janus, JCATS, BBS, CBS, and Warsim. Is the designer of The Battle of the Little Bighorn and The Rosebud. Both were Charles S Roberts award winners and were published by Legion Wargames. He is also the designer of the game Adobe Walls, Saipan & Tinian, as well as future games on Guam and Attu & Kiska.
