Donald Bruce Saxman passed away March 24, 2018 in Slidell, La while enroute to a cherished vacation site in Florida following successful treatment for a serious autoimmune disease. He was born to James A. And Mary Ann Myers Saxman on July 12, 1954 in Indianapolis, IN. Donald attended The Bement School in Deerfield, MA where his love of writing was nourished, graduated from Ridgewood High, Ridgewood NJ, and received his BS in Geology from Indiana University in 1977. Professionally, his background includes analytical chemistry, technical journalism, quality assurance management on an International Space Station life support system and testing program, information technology project management and most recently, employment at GC Services as a Marketing Business Analyst and Project Manager IT Network Operations.
As well, over a 26 year period he authored more than 90 technology/market assessments, newsletters and webinars for Business Communications Company in Boston. Donald wrote four science fiction themed role playing games including Superhero 2044. Donald was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, the American Association of Scientists, and formerly a docent at the Houston Zoo. One of his favorite memories was of a 2006 mission trip to Bolivia he shared with a group of others to work at the Iglesia Emmanuel in Cochabamba.
