Description Edit | History

User summary:

Dave Arneson's Blackmoor: The MMRPG is a "Massively Multiplayer" organized play campaign using the d20 System / OGL Product (D&D 3.5 Compatible) system and the Blackmoor setting. Dave Arneson was active in developing and promoting the program, which ran for four play seasons from 2005 through 2007. The organized play program consisted of sixty-seven scenarios and supporting materials.

Season one of the program incorporated one adventure from The Dungeons of Castle Blackmoor (the commercial product was required for the scenario); the remaining seasons were entirely "standalone".

The organized play program should not be confused with the much earlier and much smaller DA - Dave Arneson's Blackmoor - they are (more or less) unrelated except thematically.

More Information Edit | History

Season 1 includes scenarios 1 through 17
Season 2 includes scenarios 18 through 44
Season 3 includes scenarios 45 through 62
Season 4 includes scenarios 63 through 67

To support a wide range of character levels, most scenarios were "tiered" over a range of "ATL" (average table level). The ATL was a method to calculate a given character party's relative strength. Dungeon Masters would utilize the tiered scenario structure to present a challenging situation to the players.

Note: this family links together the various series ("seasons") of scenarios that comprise the organized play program. To view the series included in this family, use the "Linked Items" blue box, immediately below. Select "RPG Series" from the "Relationship" drop-down.
