A typical roleplaying game involves a group of people, usually comprised of a Game Master and a handful of players. Most tabletop RPGs assume a five-person gaming group because it allows for plenty of social interaction, creative teamwork, and fun out-of-character moments. But an underutilized and underappreciated option in roleplaying games is the one-on-one campaign, or the pairing of a Game Master and one player.
