No cloud darkens the sky and the sun shines brightly onto the cold and clear water of this small public pool. The square basin and the water within have been cleaned and a small number of beach chairs and beach umbrellas have been set up in the lush meadow surrounding it in anticipation of the first guests.
The pool itself is a simple affair. A square basin tiled with small greenish tiles and set into waterproof concrete. One usually enters the pool at the side opposite of the lifeguards high chair, where the water is the shallowest. The bottom of the pool gradually descends the further in one moves.
