Two parallel railway tracks run through the grass covered plains from horizon to horizon. The railway tracks have been laid on top of a railway embankment a few meters high. Beyond the rails, rail road ties and the gravel supporting them the embankment gently slopes down to the grassy plain. To either side of he tracks large water tanks have been constructed on top of wooden scaffoldings to provide the steam engines pulling the trains with water if needed. Beyond them the rails are flanked by the masts of a telegraph line and a dirt track, mostly used by maintenance vehicles and crews.
