Roleplaying guide (Roolipeliopas) is a tight and extremely important encyclopedic work for everyone interested in roleplaying games. From the Roleplaying guide you will find lots of current and proper information about RPGs and playing them: What actually are roleplaying games, introduction to their secrets, presentations of tens of foreign and all the finnish RPGs, special articles writen by experts of these topics and also lots of other useful and funny information(, of which a great deal has been updated in this second printing).

The Roleplaying guide by Arctic Ranger Productions is the first and so far only finnish language booklet dealing with RPG gaming. It is made by the professionals and exprecienced hobbyists of this area.

The Roleplaying guide is planned to be of use specially by beginner roleplayers and others not familiar with the subject, but it has interesting info for experienced gamers as well.

Roolipeliopas on tiukka ja erinomaisen tarpeellinen perustietoteos kaikille roolipeleistä kiinnostuneille. Roolipelioppaasta löydät paljon ajankohtaista ja asiallista tietoa roolipeleistä ja -pelaamisesta: mitä roolipelit oikein ovat, johdatuksen roolipelaamisen saloihin, esittelyt monista ulkomaisista ja kaikista kotimaisista roolipeleistä, alan asiantuntijoiden kirjoittamia erikoisartikkeleita sekä paljon muuta hyödyllistä ja hauskaa tietoa(, josta suuri osa on tarkistettu ja päivitetty tähän toiseen painokseen.)

Arctic Ranger Productionin julkaisema Roolipeliopas on ensimmäinen ja tähän mennessä ainoa suomenkielinen roolipeliaihetta käsittelevä kirjanen. Se on alan ammattilaisten ja kokeneiden harrastajien tekemä.

Roolipeliopas on suunniteltu erityisesti aloittavien roolipelaajien ja muiden aihetta tuntemattomien käytettäväksi, mutta siinä on kiinnostavaa asiaa kokeneemmallekin pelaajalle.

In addition to explaining what RPGs are and what are all the things belonging to the (finnish) RPG scene, Roolipeliopas features six "expert" articles, some of which have been published in RPG magazines before, dealing with some important issues of the roleplaying games:

- History of roleplaying games in Finland by Lauri Tudeer, who was one of the very first RPGers of Finland in 1978 and CEO of Fantasiapelit and ACE Pelit.

- Blowing the spark of life to your characters by Risto J. Hieta. Article first published in Claymore magazine issue #1 (1993).

- The good, the bad and the player characters by Ville Lähde. Article about dealing with moral issues in RPGs.

- Making and playing a campaing by Antti "Ed" Poussa.

- Live Action RolePlaying by ELF Vesala. Article explains what are LARPs and how they differ from RPGs and what are the current LARP trends in UK, USA, Australia and Finland and some notes on how to make a succesfull LARP event.

- Measurements in fantasy world by Mika Laaksonen. Article first published in Magus magazine issue #17.
