Since centuries, the ivory tower (Elfenbeinturm) is the symbol of the magic elite of Aventurien. Until her tragic accident Prishya of Grangor was at the top of its highest battlements, but today the once prestigious Mage is now a shadow of her former self, trying desperately to restore her old reputation among mages by plunging deeply into research. However, to clarify the last mysteries of the enigmatic fragments, that were recovered from Fremmelshofen, being plunged for centuries into the intermediate world of Limbo, Prishya needs the help of energetic specialists.

While the mage guilds prepare for the All-Aventurian Covenant of Magic in Kuslik, it's up to the heroes to discover ancient documents and forgotten artifacts - but they are not alone! An unidentified adversary wants to exploit the knowledge of the old wizard for his evil purposes, and it is in the hands of the heroes to thwart his evil plans.

The events reach their peak during the St. Basil's Test in which a suitable hero mage can face the probably biggest challenge of his life - the examination to become an Archmage.
