This book provides an comprehensive overview of various parts of the city, places of interest and power struggles raging between politicians, corporations , syndicates and gangs. In addition, short chapters on Cape Town, Caracas and Istanbul are included, as well as numerous adventure ideas and tips that will help you use any other cities as shadow cities.

Schattenstädte is the translation of Runner Havens with an added chapter on Hamburg in the shadows. The revised 2010 release by Pegasus also includes a translation of the chapter on marseilles from Capitales des ombres by French publisher BBE.

Runner Havens was released in three different versions in Europe. All three add different city chapters to the ones on Seattle and Hong Kong included in the original:
