In the Fanhunter universe a lunatic tyrant called Alejo I has forbidden almost all the entertainment options except the Philip. K. Dick works and he governs almost Europe with a mix of military dictatorship and populism. The cinema fans, the music fans, the videogamers, the comic fans, rol fans, and whatever kind of subculture fans are hounded and they have organized a Resistance that is against the invasor with the knowledgements obtained from his favourite works.

Some of them have special powers from the Barrabas virus and move by the night, not like vampires, like Fanpiros.
