Characters in the game are monsters, or at least monstrous humans. They have three traits - Name, Nationality, and Curiosity. Name and Nationality are narrative tags to guide roleplaying. Curiosity defines the monstrous quality or qualities of the character. Characters also have a variety of Resources which are significant in play - things and personal relationships that allow special actions and advantages. While the game is rules-light, a dice mechanism can be used when problems cannot be resolved through narrative development.
