Characters in the game assume one of two distinct roles - some are charlatans, some are physicians. They both travel through the campaign world trying to cure a plague. Neither type has the tools to complete the task, nor can they cure the plague working in tandem. The game uses a game master (here, the Rose Queen) and suggests that dice, etc., can be used if the group finds such use comfortable or useful. However, the rules as presented are freeform and based entirely around narrative development.
