The structure of the game is organized into phases, beginning with setup (called Generation,) when you fill in the Character Sheet, Arcane Descriptors Sheet, Domain Design Sheet, and one or more Level Design Sheets. After Generation, the play phases go in cycles: Map the area you are about to enter, roll for Discovery as you approach or enter locations on the map, resolve any Encounter you discover, and improve during the Reward phase before starting the next cycle.
This version of the game presents incremental refinements to the system. It should be immediately familiar to anyone who has played the previous version.
