Characters in the game are custodians of a special child, Miriam, who alone has the genetic makeup that will allow humanity to survive a horde of space-plague infected undead. The game uses primarily narrative development and is nearly diceless in execution. Each player is provisioned with a "quantum communication box" that allows real-time communication over the vast expanses of space. One team member also has a secondary device that allows communication among all the players and the mission control agent. One of the primary tasks of the game master is tracking the use of these communication devices - each has a limited amount of functional time of operation.
