Characters in the game should be based around some identifiable archetype or stereotype, though this need not define them entirely. One player is the powerful Spirit Coyote (somewhat like a game master); the remaining players are standard characters. Game play involves characters spinning their own tale which, presumably, exculpates them from the terrible crime. However, Coyote is able to insert "ifs, ands, or buts" into others' stories, and other characters may further complicate things. Eventually the players must decide which one of them is, in fact, the terrible murderer.
