The game contains detailed decription of character traits, and assumes freeform play, but provides a mechanic for resolving issued when players cannot agree: A memory set (40 cards = 20 pairs showing historical serial killers) is provided, and the one who is able to complete a pair gets to decide on the matter at hand.
The book contains a chapter on the community of serials, a long chapter for character generation, detailing many traits and behaviors, some advice for playing, sample characters and a scenario, as well as two solo adventures (choose your own path). The book closes with a list of thematic books and movies, and an index.
