Hello and welcome, adventurers and Game Masters!
In this adventure your players will be tasked with aiding the mayor and citizens of Inverdale, a peaceful fishing village that has recently come under attack from the local aquatic humanoids: sahuagin, lizard men and crabmen. These aquatic invaders have been waylaying ship and attacking their crews, desperately searching for something under orders from someone known as "The Mistress". The villagers are not sure what their agitated aquatic foes are searching for...but they are concerned it might be related to the strange metallic rock that fell from the sky a few weeks back and was recovered by one of its sailing vessels, the Ēostre. These concerns solidified into real fears when a local druid, Tasmin Brindo, informs the mayor her allies in nature report that the Ēostre was under attack by a mass of aquatic humanoids, and it was last seen foundering a few kilometers up the coast from the village! The villagers are afraid these bloodthirsty foes will come for them now! They send out a call for heroes, and your party answers the call. Can your band of heroes investigate the wreck of the Ēostre, determine the cause of these attacks, and save the village before it is overrun by invaders?
This adventure takes place in three different phases in three separate locales. The first phase takes place underwater at the wreck of a fishing ship, the Ēostre; the second phase involves an urban battle in the village of Inverdale as the players attempt to repel an invading force of aquatic humanoids, and the final phase takes place in a seaside grotto controlled by the sea hag and her evil forces. The changing battlegrounds and environments are certain to challenge your players’ skills!
This supplement contains a completely original aquatic themed ONE SHOT adventure, fully detailed and ready for immediate use with very little preparation by the GM or the players! The entire module may be played in approximately THREE 3 to 4 hour sessions, for approximately 9 to 12 hours of game play. Inside you will find great Old-school art and three detailed map, with keyed encounters for each area. This module also includes a fully detailed world map of the nation of The Red Eagle Barony, done in the Old School style, with information for further exploration. Many nights of role-playing fun is right at your fingertips!
This adventure is located in and around the village of Inverdale, which lies in the southwest corner of The Red Eagle Barony. The module also provides wonderful background information and additional areas for adventure for those GM’s setting their campaigns in the author’s ever expanding campaign world, which now comprises four different kingdoms: Jarlburgh, Alderburgh, The Red Eagle Barony, and Dùn Bhriste.
To make the GM’s job easier and in case your players don’t have heroes appropriate for this adventure, this module includes a carefully crafted set of SIX PREGENERATED CHARACTERS, ready for immediate use in the game by players or the GM. Each of the characters is presented completely ready to play with all of the necessary stats and gear, including the magic items appropriate to their level! As a BONUS, these PCs are specially laid out so the GM can simply print out the page, cut out the sheets, and just hand them out and the players will be ready to go with their own mini character sheet!
