Publisher's blurb:
Ever wondered how astronomers saw the Moon in the 1700's? This map may be one of the earliest attempts to map the moon, undertaken almost 100 years before the Space Race began! This map is a beautiful piece of work suitable for use as a poster map or a beautiful computer background.
Antique Maps XI - The Moon in the 1700's details the Moon in 1748. I'm not sure who the original cartographer was, as I can't read the language it's written in! I suspect it's Dutch, but could very well be mistaken. The Moon is detailed, as an overset upon a basic globe of the Earth.
Print size of this map is 40.7 Inches Wide by 51.0 Inches High.
