This the Starter Set for Héros & Dragons, a 5th Edition SRD-based RPG.
The box contains 4 booklets, a GM Screen, 4 regenerated characters and a set of dice.
It is design so the reader will learn by himself about roleplaying games, play and then GM, in the medfan world of Alarian.
Thus, the first booklet is a story that slowly becomes a "choose your own adventure", in which you follow Beric, a young smith that will become a hero. The second booklet adds three more character, for a total of four players, and continue the adventure, acting as a GM in a 4 player CYOA story.
The third booklet introduces GMing and the rules of Héros & Dragons. The fourth booklet provides two more scenarios, that continue the adventures of Beric and his friend (4 players and 1 GM), with advice. There are also a handful of treasure and monsters if the GM wants to design more adventures.
The four regenerated characters have their advances scripted up to the 4th level.
The GM screen is the same as the standard Héros & Dragons GM screen, but soft and with page references that send the GM to the rules booklet.
