From the introduction:
After an apocalyptic event, the world is divided between the hollowed-out cities controlled by corporations-turned-governments, and tiny villages connected by underground courier tunnels. The two are separated by vast, irradiated wilds rumored to be inhabited by monstrous mutated humans. Most citizens toil for their city’s corporation at menial tasks, receiving only bare subsistence and propaganda for their allegiance. Any sign of dissension is met with a trip to gulags, facilitated by secret police. You are not most citizens. One day a mysterious courier arrived in your village with supplies, including contraband media. This was either in physical form (VHS, cassettes, CDs, Flash drives, etc.) or relayed by the courier themselves in performance. The village was shown some form of Hip Hop, and along with bringing a burst vibrant color in your gray existence, it unlocked a gift inside of you. Now with a Crew of other gifted individuals by your side, you’re fighting against the powers that be.
