From publisher blurb:
Welcome to the “Jester Dragon’s Trove of Trinkets,” the latest Skirmisher Publishing sourcebook to bear the name of our enigmatic mascot!
Trinkets can be found just about anywhere and might even be generated randomly during the process of character creation. This book contains 100 items that can be used for such purposes, along with customization options that include Minor Magical Effects and Hidden Contents.
Like all of the other
Jester Dragon’s Guides or the entries in the affiliated “100 Oddities” series, this book can be used in multiple ways, from generating single mundane or minor magical items to creating hooks for entire adventures. Possibilities include:
- Anytime you are running or setting up for a game you can use this book to quickly generate a minor item for purposes that could include being found in a picked pocket, the forgotten corner of a treasure vault, between the belly scales of a slain monster, beneath the false bottom of a trunk in the den of a local crime lord, lying forgotten on a shelf in an arch-mage’s library, or in the pocket of the unknown corpse floating downriver.
- Two or more trinkets can be used in conjunction with each other — or with entries from any “100 Oddities” sourcebooks you might have — to generate adventure hooks.
- If you play 5th Edition D&D then, if desired, you can simply use the main table in this book in place of or in addition to the Trinkets table in the Player’s Handbook.
