Publisher's blurb:
An Expansion and 5e Conversion Guide to Dungeon Module X2
X2: Castle Amber (Château d'Amberville) was originally published in 1981 as Dungeon Module X2 for the Dungeons and Dragons Expert Set. Written by Tom Moldvay, it is widely regarded as one of the greatest D&D modules ever written... and it is certainly one of the most bizarre of the classic adventures. The original adventure was designed for 6-10 characters of levels 3 to 6. It was, however, an exceedingly lethal adventure. I have converted this module for use with 5e characters between level 6 and 10, including multiple difficulty options for each combat encounter. The result is well over 100 pages of content including stat blocks for over 40 monsters (often with multiple variations), over 25 detailed NPCs, and over 30 magic items.
This adventure is easily used with any setting that allows for strange magic and interplanar travel, but I have added specific adaptations to allow it to fit within the Eberron campaign setting. I have included a few notes on how it could be used with Ravenloft as well.
Please note that the original adventure is required to use this conversion.
