From publisher blurb:
The Cepheus Engine and Original Science Fiction Roleplaying Game (OSFRPG) systems are sublime examples of gaming minimalism that sets up enough of a game world or a situation to allow the Referee to hang his or her own ideas on its framework while providing satisfying and memorable RPG experiences.
But sometimes, the Player Characters can use a little something…more. Especially when their skills don’t quite measure up to the Referee’s imagination.
Called “feats” in some game systems, and such things as “boons”, “advantages” and “edges” in others, Talents are actions available to adventurers gained either through prior service, inborn aptitudes, exotic training, or while adventuring that grants them abilities not generally possessed by the majority of the game world’s population. Talents also give Referees and players a mechanic to help the characters achieve the heroic deeds expected of them as stars of the story…or occasionally give an enemy enough of an edge to vex them.
2D6 Talents is for 2D6 science fiction games such as the aforementioned Cepheus Engine and OSFRPG, although it’s usable with other systems with a little work.
