From publisher blurb:
A Ready to Roll module for The Last Chance Chronicles, a Forged from GRAM saga of fantasy and romance in the modern world, where evil is very very real and it’s up to one woman and the people who want to see her succeed to stop the darkness.
This campaign is a tandem GRAM Role-Playing Game/Kay Michaels production. The idea was to reach out to new players through new mediums, and to give existing audiences a new experience. A series of stories about a sassy thief in an urban fantasy world with a character sheet in the back of the book with a real “you read about the world, now play in it” vibe or after playing a session of the game, read more about a character who is living in it. We’ve played out fanfics in GRAM, so why not something a bit more dear to us? Something we can really dig into, and it’s not like romance is new to us…
It’s also a setting that has been expanded past the Kindle stories through play to deal more with characters who identify as being talented and can do a magic trick and how they interact with the rest of the world... and the ramifications of metahumanity and magic being commonly understood concepts. Not everything in here will be in the books, but events and characters from the books can have an effect on this campaign setting.
And while the source material is very solidly in the romance genre, that doesn’t mean the players will be asked to act out rosepetal-encrusted themes directly. This scenario is all about the strings that connect people, some romantic, some less so. The world depends on Othelia Chance winning her showdown against the diabolist Siegfried Kass, but she wouldn’t be the woman she is today without Silas Shelby, and he’s living on borrowed time. He was pointed towards an artifact that can push that timer back, but because of his failing health he’ll need the players to do the legwork so that he can get back in the fight and make everyone safer.
