From the introduction:
Adventures in the Hundred Kingdoms is a role playing game inspired by the folklore of the Philippine islands. It is a game played around a table by a group of friends; usually 3 to 6 or so. Most of these players take on the role of playing characters who are the protagonists of epic stories, told of normal people who become heroes by overcoming dangerous foes and challenging circumstances beyond the norm. These players are responsible for responding to the GM’s stimulus in exciting ways, and for portraying their characters honestly.
One of the players takes on a unique role, that of the game master. The GM is responsible for describing the scene and setting it to boil; providing stimuli that demands the other characters react to it, setting the pace of the adventure, and adjudicating the rules in this rulebook. There is a chapter in this book that provides GMs with principles and procedures for running Adventures in the Hundred Kingdoms.
To play this game you’ll need a few hours and a space to play, this rulebook, some paper and pencils, and several six sided dice -perhaps 10 or more.
