Publisher's blurb:
In cold war WWIII RPG timelines, there can be an even wider variety of regions for post-apocalyptic military sandbox campaigns. This map specifically covers the Trans-caucasian region of the southwest U.S.S.R. covering the area between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea, including Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, as well as parts of northeast Turkey and northwest Iran.
In any timeline, this region would be crucial for maintaining the oil supply from the middle east to Soviet Russian, and thus a deep penetration target for western forces. However, it has a wide variety of ethnic and religious tension that have been building up over the decades of Soviet rule makes for a complex region where it is never clear who might be a potential ally or foe. The Caucasian Mountains divide an ancient land deep with history and rife with millennia-old castles, churches, and mosques.
This map utilizes the Soviet era placenames for locations in the region. It is offered as a plain 'player's map' and then also a version with a keyed hex map overlay to help the referee manage distance, encounters, an recordkeeping. It includes pdfs in both US letter and Tabloid sizes for printing, as well as PNG files for VTTs.
