The Ridgeline Express
A Murder Most Foul!
Aboard the Ridgeline Express a foul murder has occurred. The noble, Sir Benedict Cullen the 3rd struck down while within his private quarters.
A man of many friends, and even more enemies, his stranglehold on shipping commerce has made him a titan of industry. Controlling a significant stake in many trades, the city docks, and this very locomotive, his reach going from the lowest of dock workers and coal miners, to the King himself.
But who could have murdered the noble? His dear wife but in the sitting room next door. For the guard captain Loronzo Talin the answer must come quickly, and confidently, before the train arrives at its final location, and his superiors thrust the blame upon him.
But the list of culprits is long, and time running short. Between begrudged workers, the poor folk in Second Class, rival nobles in First, and numerous other scoundrels and thieves on board, Talin and his small squad of guards have a difficult task at hand.
The party stands in opposition to this. For their presence onboard suspect at best, outright devious depending on how they boarded the vehicle. After being made clear that the guards will stop at nothing to find the killer, it appears the best solution may be to find the answer first.
