Since the birth of the hobby, pulp stories have been an inspiration for both the game as a whole, but especially the creatures that populate its world. Thanks to illustrators like Virgil Finlay, Frank R. Paul, and Margaret Brundage, those creatures took shape not only in the mind, but on the page as well.

Undertaken as a quarantine project in 2020 and inspired by the images produced by a host of legends of pulp illustration, this volume attempts to capture the spirit of the early days of the hobby.
