This game was originally called Stranglehold and was slated for release as an Ash Can at GenCon 2007. It was renamed 4 days prior to the con when the publisher received a cease & desist from Midway. Only 50 copies of XSW: Impact were produced for GenCon 2007. The dispostion of the 75 copies of Stranglehold is unclear.

NOTE: Richard Iorio II, said "only 100 copies of STRANGLEHOLD were published and all but two copies were destroyed (I kept one and jim did as well)".
