Midgard is a fantasy role-playing game that was the first role-playing game published in the German language and the first role-playing game to be created in Germany. The first edition was published in 1981. The 1985 edition was one of the first role-playing games to separate exhaustion points from hit points. The game uses 20-sided dice for attacks, spells, and skills; 6-sided dice to determine weapon damage; and a 100-sided dice roll for tests against a character's attributes.
Note: The rule books have only been released in German.
The 1st printing contained 8 full colour pages with illustrations which aren't included in the later printings.
The first two printings were released by Pegasus Press, the 3rd printing under the Midgard Press label, the new Midgard label of Verlag für Fantasy- und Science Fiction-Spiele.
