Champions (Second Edition) (1982)

This is the Revised Champions Box Set from Champions 2nd edition. The subtitle of this game is 'The Superhero Roleplaying Game'.

Champions provides a complex, but extremely flexible rules system for creating a superhero character and running modern day adventures in a world of super powered heros and villains. The Champions system would later be adapted and expanded to be the Hero System. When the Hero System debuted in 1990 it was refered to as 4th edition Hero System to reflect the outgrowth from the three editions of Champions that preceded it. These new rules could be applied to the creation of characters in a variety of genres.

The rulebook has an exciting color cover, but the interior art is entirely in black and white with very primitive typesetting.

• 17" x 22" Black & White Street double-sided map. One side is of a generic street corner, the other are blank hexagons.
