A very clever system mimicking school grading systems in its ease of remembering things. Everything is based on the A, B, C, D model:
- The Aspects (attributes) are Agility, Brawn, Cognition, Determination
- The Aspect Grades (levels) are Astonishing, Brilliant, Capable, Decent
Characters start with two Aspects at level C (Capable) and two at level D (Decent), with room to grow with experience. For each "C" Aspect a character has they start with two related skills; for each "D" Aspect they start with one related skill. Everything can be chosen from a list or randomly rolled, as desired. There are no classes, but skills described in the game are those traditionally associated with fighters or wizards or clerics or thieves or bards, etc. Players make take a mix of skills.
Raising skills with experience involves passing through C+ to B- to B to B+, etc.
