LARP (Live-Action-Role-Playing)

LARP is a RPG variant where players impersonate and act out their characters. There are different degrees of LARP, sometimes only some costumes and props are used while the game mechanics are still driven by pen & paper RPG, sometimes the game events - up to fights with special LARP weapons - and special effects are acted out in a suitable environment - therefore the label Live Action of this genre of role playing game.
