Crusader

The Crusader is a Journal dedicated to games and the gamers who play them. Within its pages, lie a plethora of articles that touch upon many of our common interests. Though each issue sports at least one ‘crunchy’ bit rules article for C&C the magazine’s focus is much more broad. The Journal offers articles that range from the common and simple "How To" articles, to advice, fiction, poetry, humor, art and more. Feature articles include the following:

"Alea iact est" by Stephen Chenault. Here one of the founders of TLG and its guiding hand for these past four years expounds upon a variety of game related subjects. At times these have direct relations to role playing games, at others they take a broader look at the hobby and the state its in.

"Auld Wyrmish" by Mike Stewart. Mike has been a long time friend of the magazine and contributes regularly. A dedicated AD&D enthusiast his articles always touch a nerve for the nostalgic. Though game specific for C&C Mike’s stylistic approach and content offer the imaginative reader a much more than lies upon the surface.

"Hammer & Anvil" by Casey Cannfield. Casey is a dedicated and experienced game master and explores a multitude of topics that are specifically related to gamer mastery. Highly portable Casey’s articles join Mike’s in offering a broader scope to the imaginative.

Other articles include:

• and cartoons include pieces from Tom Wham and starting in issue 7, Trolls by Jason Walton and Stephen Chenault.

Crusader is dedicated to bringing back the simple days of magazine publication with the promise of less ads and more content. It’s a magazine that is meant to be read, perhaps not from cover to cover as you sift through and find articles that do or do not interest you, but one possessed of enough interest to engage your imagination and help you join us on the broad road that is adventure gaming.

Since Vol. 6 (2010), the Crusader dropped the article ("the") from the title logo on the covers.
