Born in 1972 in Modena (Italy). Since his childhood really enjoyed spending time making games to play with my friends at school (sometimes also during the lessons!). When was 16 joined the club TreEmme ([url]www.treemme.org[/url]), the biggest game club in Italy (founded in 1980!). Started his game career as a RPG player first, than as a Game Master for several years. In club TreEmme started playing wargames, Battletech and most of the old GW and AH games. During a working period in Denmark met [user=Great Dane]Mik Svellov[/user] at the Viking Con and started to play German Games (in 1999 almost no one in Italy knew about these games).
Involved in the [url]www.boardgamenews.com[/url] project since his starting, writing articles and interviews about Italian game scene and, after that, in [url]opinionatedgamers.com[/url] conducing a series of interviews to game designers.
Nominated in 2006 member of the [url=https://www.internationalgamersawards.net/]International Gamers Awards[/url] committee (for the General Strategy section) he is also member of [url=https://magnifico.goblins.net/]Goblin Magnifico[/url] and [url=http://www.play4change.it/]Play4Change Awards[/url] committees.
Involved in the organization of [b]ModCon[/b] [url]www.modcon.it[/url] (the biggest game convention in Italy that took place the last week of September in Modena) from 1998 heis the Artistica Director of [b]PLAY: the Game Festival[/b] [url]www.play-modena.it[/url],the Italian greatest gamers event since the first edition in 2008.
Worked as a Theoretical Chemist in the Department of Chemistry (Modena) from 1998 and from 2004 in the IT group of the University, programming and administrating the computer network.
Now he is member of the Scientific Committee of the [url=http://gamescience.imtlucca.it][b]GAME Science Research Center[/b][/url] and coordinator of the GamER Section (University of Study of Modena and ReGgio Emilia).
Starting from 2021 founded together with 4 friends [url=http://www.ludolabo.com][b]Ludo Labo[/b][/url].
Married to Serena since 2000 has a daughter, Caterina, 2001) that started her game career very early by eating some pieces (the largest and most colorful ones) of her father's games and a son, Francesco (2006). Caterina is now member of the Italian committee for Gioco dell'Anno, Italian Game of the Year.
From 2010 work as [b]games consultant[/b] for games companies including LEGO Italia (concerning the LEGO Games series) and teach how to use games in schools.
