Geoff Berman got into RPG industry completely by accident. He was reading an issue of Adventurer's Club magazine and noticed a section on how to contact the staff of Hero Games, creators of Champions the superhero RPG. Geoff called the number and asked Bruce Harlick, the Editor, if Hero Games had any plans to produce a supplement about companies and how they interact with superheroes.
The comics that are the source material are littered with examples: Waynetech, Stark Industries, etc.
Bruce Harlick thought the idea had merit and mentioned that Hero Games had no books like that in development. He then asked the question "Would you like to write it for us?"
A call to his long time friend Mark Arsenault secured a co-writer and the project was born.
Geoff went on to write a couple of articles for Adventurer's club, and has helped out with playtesting and editorial contributions on many other Hero Games and Gold Rush Games products.
These days Geoff is still in the game industry, but is now on the managing committee of PretzCON, a game convention run every April in Omaha, Nebraska.
