Young aspiring charcters are sent to explore and map the wild and unhospitable land of the orcs.
Die Erforschung des Orklandes (the Exploration of the Orclands) is a three part campaign for Das Schwarze Auge.
The mysterious Orkland in the heart of Aventurien has always been a menace to the lands lying around it. Bands of orcs come from the mountains, plundering villages and taking slaves. The chief of Thorwal sends the adventurers on an exploration to map this dangerous country. The journey is a free-form adventure with many different encounters and smaller adventures. Some of these are: a tribe of lizardmen, two giants, a three-headed dragon, a greedy dwarf, sentient spiders, a grolm village (an Aventurian kind of gnome) with orcish slaves, a riddle tower, a village of friendly half-orcs (previously unheard of), and finally an ancient temple of Phex, the god of thieves and merchants.
Most of the main encounters in this campaign are not combat encounters. Some of them illustrate the wonders of the Orkland, others must be solved using negotiation or wit.
