Like it's bigger cousin, the annual Game Chef competitions, the Little Game Chef invites designers to submit creations with specific themes and ingredients. This smaller competition is held infrequently (to date, only in 2009 and 2010), attracts less attention (and competition), and demands smaller games.
In 2009, the theme was "immersion", and the ingredients were "Burn", "Horse", "Midnight", and "Sea". Competitors were urged (but not required) to limit their games to a single page (A4 or Letter), printed both sides.
There were thirty-five entries.
