User Summary:
Far The Earth is the setting of the Night Wizard! RPG, and at the same time one of the eight human worlds in the multiverse of Seven Fortress RPG. It is similar to present day earth, but in fact is a world where magic exists hidden from humanity in order to preserve the status quo.
Before the worlds existed, the "First God" created the 108 "Ancient Gods" which in turn created the 8 human worlds. As they rejected the "First God's" demand to hand over the worlds, a war between the gods ensued, ending with the victory of the "First God". While most of the disobedient gods and their followers were incarcerated in the dark world and the underworld below, some gods and their followers were sealed away together with the devastated eighth world "Far The Earth" by the "Vision God". The seal is maintained by the sleep of the "Vision God" and the world humans know is just the god's dream, for which reason the god is also called "the dreaming God".
Because of that, the world is split into the front side (which is the dream of the god and the world humans live in), and a backside called "Rikai" (裏界) or "Far Side", which is actually the real 8th world. In between them, there is a zone with tiny worlds.
While the 8 human worlds are all magical, magic is suppressed on Far The Earth by the World Kekkai (世界結界), which is the collective subconscious will of the inhabitants of the front side. In other words, magic doesn't exist because people believe it does not exist.
But there are exceptions. From the Rikai, the fallen gods and their minions are invading the front side (being called "emulators"), breaching the kekkai from without. And opposing them, the night wizards also defy the kekkai in order to wield their powers. Since the destruction of the kekkai would mean victory for the emulators, wizards also have to hide the truth from humanity - for if people started believing in magic, the kekkai would collapse.
