The Multiverse consists of five layers of increasing number of the midgardian elements, each layer containing one sphere for each combination of the elements, and a sphere can contain a number of worlds that are more or less similar to each other.
The main world to be played on is called Midgard. Midgard is one of the worlds in the middle layer of the multiverse, in the water-earth-air sphere.
Midgard is a typical fantasy world with four continents, culturally resembling the British isles (Vesternesse), Asia including Scandinavia (Sirao), Middle and South America (Huaxal), and Africa, Arabia, the Mediterranean Region and partly Australia (Lamaran), and an Archipelago in the middle of the world resembling a deceased Roman empire with punic elements (Valian).
Most Midgard cultures are in a stage resembling the early middle ages plus magic, but some are more progressive than others.
This variety of different cultures enables very different playing styles in the same setting and remaining consistent at the same time.
A different world in the Midgard universe is “Myrkgard”, which split from Midgard at the end of the War of the Magicians due to time travellers. On this world, the “evil” Magicians won the war, thus Myrkgard in much more Dark Fantasy than Midgard.
