El SISTEMA SOMBRA® es parte inherente de todos los juegos Sombra. Aunque con modificaciones, la idea fundamental del sistema: una tirada de tres dados que sirve para calcular la acción, la localización y el daño, está presente en todos los juegos editados por EDICIONES SOMBRA.

Fue desarrollado originalmente para Exo en el año 1999 por Juan Carlos Herreros Lucas, Raúl López Díaz-Ufano, Fernando Ruiz-Tapiador Gutiérrez, Hugo Wifredo Serrano Ruiz y Javier Sevilla Villafane.

La presente página es una recopilación de todos los trabajos aparecidos en la revista Desde el Sótano relativos a la aplicación del Sistema Sombra® en otras ambientaciones y a la propia estructura básica del sistema. Esta página ha sido concebida como una herramienta de ayuda para que los diseñadores de juegos tengan un referente para desarrollar sus ideas dentro del Sistema Sombra®.
