Do you prefer to design your own characters, or are you willing to submit to the tyranny of random dice rolls ?

Why do you prefer one over the other ?

Do you look at the microbadges a person displays? What, if anything, do you look for? What conclusions do you draw from microbadges?

Jackasses? You let a whole column get stalled and strafed on account of a couple of jackasses? What the hell's the matter with you?

Interesting coincidence !

I was just going to ask the following question:

As a GM, how would you rate your passions, your characteristics, your attributes, and your skills ?

(I am going through an intense bout of RuneQuest Character Creation learning presently. )

Coming off of the Jan 5 QOTD, I can't quite get the wording I want. Something like:

Does most RPG magic feel simply like science based on different laws of nature?

(That is, if a mage knows a spell and will succeed on a roll of 15+, on a roll of 16, for example, they'll always get the exact result they want. That's no difference from science, except the basic laws of nature they're calling on wouldn't work in our world.)

How much does seeing that someone has had geek gold given for a response influence you to give geek gold?

Context: I find myself with a lot of geek gold, but am not really in the habit of just giving it out. I just forget. But when I see someone has been given geek gold, it reminds me that the capability is there.

Do you take notes at the game table? What about after a session, do you ever write up notes or a narrative summary of what transpired in game?

Do you play music during your sessions? Does the club you meet in play music during sessions? What are your thoughts about it?

Have you had your players become unexpectedly become fond or hate a npc?

Whats you balance between combat and roleplaying per session?

how much of your scenarios are pc driven vs could be anyone canned adventures?

What do you do when a major part of your planned game is based on a particular Pc, when they die / player leaves games / player changes characters?

Have you included npc driven romantic entanglements into your game?

As a GM do you make use of physical diseases (such as severe respiratory ailments, infections, parasites, or various fantasy diseases) in your games? Why or why not?

As a player, if you have had experience with diseases in your games, do you tend to feel it adds to the game? Why or why not?

A good story is enhanced by having a fully realized environment in which the story can breathe, in my opinion.

What is your favorite fictional city (from novels, games, or anywhere), and why?

Tsk, tsk.

You should have waited a few more days, so that we could have seen how many users would fall into the trap react to the post.
