Daily Dad Jokes!
Three years ago my doctor told me I was going deaf... I haven’t heard from him since
I would think the board game "Gloomhaven" would be one of them to come the closest.
First, Welcome to RPPG! This thread is for suggesting questions of the day (QOTD). Your answer is to the QOTD posted on 7 JUNE. Role playing since the beginning.

What board games could you play to generate large scale events for RPG settings?
My example would be Freedom in the Galaxy which could have 1 turn between RPG sessions to create events in the galactic setting. Player actions could impact the next game turn.
6/10 you asked about character types you
wanted to play. This got me thinking... Are there any RPGs where you've managed to play just about every major character type available? What about games where you are likely to manage to play all the types eventually?
Have you played in a game where travel to other planes or parallel worlds were a regular event even early on in the campaign?
What races would choose to add to the standard pc races in a fantasy setting, and which would you drop, to shake things up? What was the highest tech level setting you've played in and how did it change things compared to other game? What has been your experience with undead characters? Aside from the really powerful stuff, what advanced technology or magic items would you most like to own in real life?
To what extent are you looking forward to read Neal Stephenson's latest book: "Fall, or Dodge in Hell"? What did you think of his previous books ?
Do you watch anime or read Manga? Have you ever used this for rpg inspiration?
What is a good rpg actually focused around time travel (excluding games where the time travel is pre-plotted) Have you ever played an rpg scene that got emotional (not due to out of game drama)? Do you feel there is still a stigma attached to roleplaying games in the general public? Have you ever used Meetup to start a new rpg group? How did it go?
There has been a lot of talk over the last 20 or so years on Game theory. I think is is essentially trying to figure out what we want out of our gaming experience and how to categorize it in an attempt to "get more out of it".
All that said and all the gaming jargon aside, what is the thing you are trying to get or do get out of role playing? This was spawned by reading stuff on "The Big Model" (previously iterated as G/N/S theory) and thinking "Where IS that dopamine hit coming from?" hence why I said jargon aside.
Do you use stimulants (e.g. coffee,...) during play?
Have you ever experienced rpg burn out at your tables? If yes, how did you deal with it? What was the most tragic thing to occur at your gaming tables (in or out of character)? What was the most pleasant thing to occur at your gaming tables (in or out of character)?

What was your rpg session "quote of the week" this week?
What was your finest (or worst) rpg hour (minute) this week? Is complexity ever a legitimate play balancing mechanism? What system has the most powerful event/encounter generating engine and how would you sum up your experience with it? You know you are dealing with a hardcore rpger when ... What has been your most dramatic "I'm surrounded by ... boys/maniacs/cowards/newbies, etc." moment in rpgs?
Jackasses? You let a whole column get stalled and strafed on account of a couple of jackasses? What the hell's the matter with you?
Who is the creepiest/weirdest/most problematic dude you've ever gamed with? Why?
Don't name names.

"Blut Aus Nord is an artistic concept. We don’t need to belong to a specific category of people to exist. If black metal is just this subversive feeling and not a basic musical style, then Blut Aus Nord is a black metal act. But...
if we have to be compared to all these childish satanic clowns, please let us work outwards from this pathetic circus. This form of art deserves something else than these mediocre bands and their old music composed 10 years before by someone else."
