Episode III
The Force Unknown
Part 1

a Club Squirrel adventure

Player-Characters (the Squirrels)
Elam-Darr – Corellian pilot
Spanners – Rodian tech
R4-G1 – R4 astromech droid

Player-Characters
Ug-Wrench – Ugnaught Rebel Alliance contact
Snoot – Rodian infochant
Zarek Koln – Mandalorian Bounty Hunter/Assassin
Ruby – Cantina owner

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…

Elam Darr, Spanners and R4 are in the living area of a small freighter. Lying on the floor between them is a small human boy, no more than ten years old, a blaster burn in the boys chest, and Elam Darr is holding a smoking blaster. The boy smiles, closes his eyes and fades into nothing. The Squirrels have no idea who he was and Elam Darr has no memory of firing his blaster…

Several days earlier…

Planet Korad, Elrood Sector.
The Squirrels are at the junk shop of Ug-Wrench when a cloaked Rodian, soon identified as Snoot, enters. Snoot is a local infochant. For a handful of creds he mentions there is an Imperial Officer in Junkerz, the city’s main Cantina. This is unusual as Imperials rarely visit Korad, let alone choose the junk planet for a place to drink.

Another customer, a Duro trader, pays for some parts and drops some other information. A group of Jawa junk pirates have a shipment coming in, but the freighter they have is not junk, and is just begging to be liberated from them. The Duro says he just wants someone to get payback on the Jawas for the trouble they have caused him in the past.

Junkerz Cantina
Junkerz is located at the Spiral at the centre of Korad City. The Spiral is a complex of shops and trading posts built around the wreck of an old Techno Union starship.

At Junkers, after a small introduction to Ruby the Zelton owner, the Squirrels easily spot the inebriated Imperial Officer, by his insignia he is naval Commander. Spanners stays on watch while Elam Darr sits with the officer to find out why he is here. In his drunken state the officer speaks freely. He is a loyal officer, he believes in the Empire and the peace and freedom they have brought to the galaxy, until recently. He has seen something, something terrible of the Empire’s doing. He will not speak of what he has seen, but mentions the planet Kuras III.

Spanners warns Elam Darr. The Corellian pilot stands and turns to face a Mandalorian Bounty Hunter. The Mandalorian raises his blaster, Spanners goes fo him but the Mandalorian gives him a warning glare. The Mandalorian shoots the Imperial Officer, killing him in cold blood. Elam Darr stands his ground, not intimidated by the assassin.
“Lucky for you the bounty was just for him,” rasped the Mandalorian, before turning and coolly walking away.
Elam examines the dead Imperial and finds a data chip in the officers pocket. Elam scoops up the data chip and the Squirrels quickly exit the cantina.

Back at Ug-Wrench’s shop they are expected. An oriental looking human with long hair and moustache and a Sullustan pilot, both wearing long military trench coats, Quick and Neemo. Quick is an officer in the Rebel Alliance. He wants to help the Squirrels set up not just a Rebel Cell, but a fully functioning Rebel Base using their recently acquired salvage ship in orbit as a base of operations.

To be continued…
