The return journey to the Kuras system is not without incident. The Last Archangel is forced out of hyperspace do to a possible collision.

Once landed the Squirrels enter the Imperial City on the planet Kuras III in the company of a squad of Rebel Commando’s. Quick and Neemo remain behind to monitor events and repair the ship.

Nothing has changed, the city is deserted other than the corpses in the street. They look into office windows and see the corpses of workers hunched over their computer terminals. As they near the Imperial Garrison at the centre of the city they pass several dead Stormtroopers.

R4 is able to by-pass the Imperial security so they can enter the garrison.

Inside the garrison all the Imperials are also dead. Spanners accesses the base computers and downloads as much information as he can.

Logan, Kia, R4 and Elam head to the Cryo-facility that adjoins the garrison. Passing though the corridor they pass another body of a giant man clothed in red robes and armour, but unlike all others he is merely asleep. He is an Imperial Sentinel!

The group pass into the centre chamber and find Delta, Elams old Academy friend. She tells her story, that she was taken by Palpatine because she was expecting a bay. Palpatine has been keeping them prisoner and experimenting with he son Sonorous. Then she drops the bombshell… Elam is the father.

Checking the information on the computers they discover there is an Imperial facility on Kuras IV, Sonorous is being held there.

The group makes their way back to the ship, and seeing the dead bodies disturbs Delta. She says Sonorous is not evil, he was just trying to put people to sleep. Discovering the people died brings Delta to tears.

Pinack had been looking at the computer data and shows Spanners. The Empire had been putting additives into food. They appear to be a type of sedative to control the population. This city was a people suppression experiment.

Back at the ship Quick has more bad news, the hyperspace collision was with an Imperial Buoy, the Empire most certainly knows they are here…
