Previous Session

Spoilers ahead. Ye've been warned!

Our previous session ended with Klarg dead, but no sign of Gundren. We took a short rest. I (Bumblefizz Dawdlefaust, Gnome Wizard) tried to dry out by the fire after taking an inadvertent swim.

We left the bugbear's chamber and went across the bridge. Our bard sent in her familiar, Kitten the owl, to see what was in the final chamber. She saw a group of goblins up a 10' ledge holding a knife to Sildar's throat. They shot an arrow into the owl, and it was down. The monk and I attempted to intimidate them by chucking the bugbear's severed head into the room. I was primarily there to speak Goblin. When that didn't work, I cast sleep at the ledge, knocking out 2. We launched an attack that was very successful, until one of the goblins started pounding his bow against the rock. Two giant centipedes came out and attacked myself and the bard. We both made our con saves, or we would've dropped. We killed all but one of the goblins and interrogated him. He was too unintelligent to be of much use, but we determined that Gundren had been taken to King Grol within the last two days. The bard dispatched the final goblins since they'd been the ones to take out her familiar.

We gathered all of the goods we could carry and made our way back to the wagon with Sildar. He's explained a little of the situation with Gundren and his map to a magic forge.

This session got a little strategic, which made the combat take a bit longer. There was also a bit more to document and understand with the information about Gundren and Phandalin and King Grol. Our party has been doing some more RP outside of the VoIP session. My character has been using Unseen Servant to run camp before the party heads out for Phandalin. Several others have been reading or making notes in their journals. It sounds like there will be LOTS of opportunities for adventure once we get into town.
