I echo all of the above, plus I'll add my own wish for you: that medical time for once corresponds with actual time and your appointment happens when it is scheduled to.

On Monday the 21st I go back to the doctor to discuss my future.
If that includes your gaming plans, that'll be one long conversation. "So there's this Champions one-shot I'd love to run, but I'm not sure which edition to use, because, you see ..."

Be well, Slipperboy!

It went pretty well today. The dcotor was happy with my weight loss and with my continuing attendance at an exercise program. He said I was making "good progress".

He also ssaid that I need more time. He gave me three more months off work to see if I can do better. EECP is still a possibility, but not yet; I guess we'll consider it again in April.

Whoooo hooooooo!

Something to be thankful for is that you have more time to focus on being consistent in the new, good habits you are forming.

Such good news!

It's been a while since I updated.

I wasn't able to return to work on March 5, which would have been the end of my 6 months of short-term disability. This resulted in me being terminated as part of company policy.

The good news is that I've been approved for long-term disability through the company and I've also applied for social security disability.

I'm still going to exercise programs for about an hour 3-4 times a day. I'm still losing weight.

I'm also volunteering at my wife's school. I'm still running a boardgame club for about a dozen students on Tuesdays and Lego club on Thursdays for about a half-dozen (Lego club is tough -- I have to watch them play without joining them.

Hooray for progress!! Every small step counts!

Also, I would have a very difficult time doing Lego club if I couldn't join in with the building!

Yay for the progress. Hope the disability applications and whatnot are a bearable bureaucratic endeavor, or that you have a paladin helping you with this stuff!

Seriously, what's the point? I get that children should be able to play by themselves, but as long as they are fine with you joining in, you should be allowed to IMO.
